This project was a 1952 single family home with a concrete block foundation and unfinished basement. The homeowner’s had plans to remodel the unfinished basement; however, wet basement walls and floor cracks prohibited the renovation. These basement issues needed to be repaired prior to green-lighting the remodel. The floor cracks posed a challenged that required specific treatment to prevent problems post renovation.
A full interior perimeter below floor drainage system, a sump pump and wall service was required to stop water seepage through the walls and floor. The floor crack repairs were made in such a way that they integrated with the drainage system and eliminated any concerns regarding the new floor coverings getting wet.
After the waterproofing installation, the basement remodel started and completed as planned. The new finished living space never required a service call and provided many worry free years of enjoyment for the family. 24 years later, the home was sold. In 2022, Mark and Mary Ellen purchased a new home in Wilmington, DE, a 1966 single family home with a concrete block foundation. They knew who to call. This time, the addition of structural wall reinforcing was needed. Another stress free waterproofing installation that allowed Mark and Mary Ellen to fully enjoy their new home.
